CleverPet without Cupcakes. Dammit!

I’m always impressed when I see children using the internet and computers better than I can. My 3-year-old niece can troubleshoot iPad issues better than I can.

But, now I’m supposed to watch my dog interact with my WiFi? STOP!

CleverPet, a brand-new interactive treat dispenser, is in the works to entertain stay-at-home dogs while their families work all day to bring home the bacon (flavored treats).

Now, my dog is super energetic – rightly so at the ripe age of 13 months – and impatiently waits all day for me to come home so I can put off taking him to exercise. Well, that procrastination on my part would be justified if I had the CleverPet. Think of it as a Simon game for dogs. Do any of you even remember Simon? All you 90s babies will be saying, “Who is Simon?”– but it was an extremely popular memory-skill game from the 80s.

So, the dog is supposed to complete a series of light-activated puzzles to receive the dispensed treat. If he touches the correct light, he gets an additional, unnecessary 50 calories. But, he’s entertained and off the couch for a while during the day. It’s definitely worth a try. CleverPet is currently in Kickstarter.

My question is this: do they make this for humans? Say, a game that dispenses cupcakes? I can punch a light all day long if I know I’ll get a chocolate cupcake thrown at me!
