Lately, just about every time I read a breaking news story on CNN, I see a sentence at the end of the story that says something along the lines of “CNN first learned of this event on Twitter.” CNN has realized what we all know — Twitter is the place to go for real-time breaking news.
So, it makes sense that CNN is partnering with Twitter to produce a new video series called Your 15 Second Morning. CNN will highlight one or two big topics in a short 15-second video embedded on CNN and shared through @CNN on Twitter.
This project is part of a larger initiative through CNN Digital Studios, a team of 10-12 people who are focused on creating new online video franchises and series that are intended to be companions to what airs on TV.
Look for a formal announcement tomorrow.
