The cult classic tv show Twin Peaks by Mark Frost and David Lynch lasted two seasons and ended in 1991. The following year a movie was made and has been referenced in many other mediums. Twin Peaks still has a following and continues to find new fans, mostly because David Lynch’s name is attached. Lynch has repeatedly said there will be no more Twin Peaks but as of March 25th a third season has started.

The only thing is that it’s not a tv show but a story told on Twitter. The names of the people that started this are still unknown (as far as I know) but each character has their own Twitter profile and it reads kind of like a script. The awesome thing is that a site has been put together so you can read the story in chronological order by visiting EnterTheLodge.com and reading the tweets via Storify.

“An experiment in Twitter fiction, by Twin Peaks fans for Twin Peaks fans.”

You can also stay up to date by following @EnterTheLodge on Twitter but I would suggest catching up on the story first on their site or else nothing will make sense. Another neat feature is that there are also documents that get released along with the story to help give more details.

If you are a fan of the show I wouldn’t get your hopes up since the website states, “This is a not-for-profit, fan-made project, and is not affiliated with David Lynch, Mark Frost or CBS.” But there is news that a Blu-Ray box set is going to be released later this year and also a vinyl re-issue of the soundtrack.

This new fan-made story takes up right after the events of season 2 so if you have the DVDs, Netflix or even VHS tapes, it might be a good idea to watch the last episode as a refresher.
