Twitter announced today, in a tweet of course, that photos are getting more social! How is that possible? I’ll tell you how.
Photos are getting more social. We're unveiling two new features: photo tagging & adding up to 4 photos per Tweet: https://t.co/icJVBHrgwN
— Twitter (@twitter) March 26, 2014
Twitter is now allowing users to tag up to ten people in a photo … and it won’t affect the strict 140-character count of your tweet! When you tag someone in a photo, they will receive a notification much like Facebook. Don’t worry; you can change your settings based on your preference, so you can limit the people who can tag you.
Also new, you can share up to four photos in a single tweet! WHAT?!?! Yes, it’s true! These four photos will automatically create a collage. Starting today, you can do this on your iPhone. Android users don’t panic; your update is coming soon. #sucksnottohaveaniphonetoday
Both new options above will display in embedded tweets.
