“The commercial towing spaceship Nostromo, owned and operated by the Earth mega-corporation Weyland-Yutani, is on a return trip to Earth hauling a refinery and twenty million tons of mineral ore, with a seven-member crew in stasis. Detecting a transmission of unknown origin from a nearby planetoid, the ship’s computer awakens the crew. Acting on standing orders from their corporate employers, they set out to investigate the transmission’s source…”

Inspired by the Alien film franchise, Leyre Valiente has launched  a collection called Nostromo. This is her fourth collection and was shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid 2014. Everything from the spacesuits to the spaceship, including the Aliens themselves and the works of H.R. Giger, were used as inspiration to create this new, fresh, sci-fi inspired collection.

According to a press release:
“Quilted fabric and simile neoprene create structured outerwear, mikado combines with technological organza which creates plastic glazes, and the skin is pierced and pembossed to give life to the dermis of the alien along with pleated satin. A collection of futuristic lines that mingle with biological textures to use from morning to night.” – image.net

In addition, Leyre Valiente designed a line of boots produced by FRONTIERE. She also collaborated with sculptor Imanol Quero to create the jewelry.

If you are a fan of the Alien films, please take notice of the eggs in the background. They were made by dP ANDROMEDA in collaboration with Imanol Quero.
